What is a webmaster? A. A webmaster is a generic term. It is a person in an organization whose sole responsibility is for the organization's web site. A domain name is a web address [e.g. http://www.xcellentwebs.com], often called a URL (Uniform Resource Locatator). When a domain name is typed into a browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape, a web site willbe located. I already have a domain name, do I need a new one? A. No. If you purchased the domain name and it has not expired, then you may change the domain name servers and point to our Web Servers. This is a fairly simple process which we can help you with. Q. What will I need to sell products on the Web? A. Do I need a merchant account? A. Yes, if you wish to transact business via the web and the ability to accept credit cards on your web site.
